Luis Orlando Garzón Piñeros is a talented Colombian painter whose work is distinguished by his unique style that combines abstract figurative art with a vibrant color palette, thus evoking the rich chromatic and cultural diversity of Colombia.

His artistic career began in 2005 and 2006, when he immersed himself in the world of art by pursuing a comprehensive diploma in fine arts, design and applied arts at the prestigious School of Fine Arts of the Santo Tomás University of Tunja. During this formative period, Garzón Piñeros acquired the technical and conceptual foundations that laid the foundations for his artistic expression.

Seeking to enrich his pictorial practice, in 2007, he embarked on an oil painting course under the tutelage of renowned teacher Carlos Carreño, taught at the Culturama Arts School in Duitama. This experience provided him with new techniques and perspectives that expanded his creative horizon and allowed him to explore new forms of expression.

More recently, in the last two years, Garzón Piñeros has adopted the principles of the artistic philosophy of "Essentialism". This approach, led by prominent Argentine painters such as Heriberto Zorrilla, Helena Dis`Stefano, Mónica Medina and Alicia Valdivia, promotes the simplification of forms and the search for the pure essence of objects and emotions through art. Inspired by this current, Garzón Piñeros' pictorial work has evolved towards a deeper exploration of the essence of his subject matter, manifesting itself in works that transmit an emotional and spiritual connection with the viewer.

Through his art, Luis Orlando Garzón Piñeros not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of his country, but also seeks to transcend the boundaries of conventional artistic expression, exploring the very essence of reality. His ability to fuse the abstract with the figurative, along with his masterful use of color, has established him as a leading exponent of Colombian contemporary art.
